The phenomenological structure of the digital art has been examined on the basis of the
phenomenological behaviours of theorists such as Husserl, Heidegger and Ponty. While
referencing phenomenological behaviours of Husserl and Ponty on different works of art,
this study focuses on the evaluation of digital images within the framework of this
phenomenological structure. Growing dominance of the sense of vision on the other senses
of our body, has started to emerge as a structure that disrupts the perception process of the
individual. Especially since the period we call the modern age, the thoughts which claims
that the images are perceived only in the mind have argued that the sense of vision emerged
as an act without a body. However, digitalization reversed this situation and revealed that
the process of perception of the image should be reconsidered. Thus, digitalization has
demolished the thoughts that claim that images are perceived only in the mind, and revealed
that other actions of the body are also important factors in the process of perception of
images. This study reveals that the images are no longer static two-dimensional structures
and it further analyses the transformation of images into interactive structures through
digitalization and the processes of reacting to different movements of the human body.
