Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğretiminde Uluslararası Öğrencilerin Yaşadıkları Sorunlara Yönelik Bir Meta-Sentez Çalışması
Özet
Using meta-synthesis method, this study aims to examine the problems international students learning Turkish as a foreign language experiencing by limiting the sample groups according to their countries, nations, and languages. Accordingly, first, the literature review was done and the scientific studies that were determined to examine the problems of international students were reduced to twenty studies within the framework of the determined research questions. While applying this process, the criteria for inclusion in meta-synthesis previously determined. In the twenty scientific studies included, care was taken to ensure that the sample groups were different. The studies determined were grouped under common themes and titles as required by the meta-synthesis method and examined in detail. Thanks to these common themes and titles, it has been determined that the student problems given in the studies vary according to which country, nationality, and language. The data obtained as a result of the meta-synthesis are reported in detail in the conclusion section and various suggestions are made in consideration of the data. It is thought that the meta-synthesis method has been introduced to the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language and that, in consideration of the data obtained in the study, determining the common problems experienced by international students and proposing solutions will contribute to the scientific world.
