Abstract

In this dissertation, the objects, which have lost their context by changing their form and conceptual foundation and thus turned into an art object on structural and intellectual dimensions, have been called as the object of artist . In the works of contemporary artists, which is the focus of this research, familiar but different and explicable but extraordinary object interpretations attract much attention. Cubism, which employs found objects that have never been thought to be in artistic expression possibilities as a means of expression and which can be said to have started an evolution in the language of art; Dada, which brings this evolution one step beyond by using the found objects chosen by the artist and Surrealism, which forces the limits of familiar and ordinary images using imaginary objects are all seen as the breaking points in the transformation of the objects in art.
