| dc.description.abstract | Symmetrization, in the first glance, is one of the most basic and simple approaches of creating a composition in painting as well as in other pieces arts. Such style of composition is among the oldest and commonest ways of producing an artistic work, which conveys variety and complexity in spite of its simplicity. The element of symmetry has been abundantly applied in architecture and music which could be traced in nature as much. Islamic arts has implemented around seven types of symmetry within all variety of it. Modern painting contains often two or three sorts of symmetry, while, the graphic artist and painter, Moris Esher, has utilized seventeen types of it in his works. Due to the existence of some signs of symmetrization in my artistic works, I have started doing research about such tendency. | tr_TR |

| dc.description.ozet | Öncelikle resimde ama aynı zamanda başka sanat dallarında da, simetri kullanmak, kompozisyon oluşturmanın en basit yollarından biridir. En eski ve genel yöntemlerden biri oluşu ve kolayca çözümlenebilir görünmesine rağmen, kendi içinde çok fazla çeşitlere sahiptir. Simetri, doğanın içinde bulunabildiği gibi, mimarlık ve müzik gibi sanatların sayısız örneklerinde de sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. Bununla birlikte, İslam sanatların farklı dallarında bir yöntem olarak yedi tür simetriye rastlanırken, genel anlamda modern resim sanatında simetrinin sadece üç türü kullanılmıştır. Halbuki grafik sanatçısı Maurits Cornelis Escher, matematiksel çözümlemeler ve bir takım analitik çalışmalar sonucunda, eserlerinde simetrinin on yedi farklı türünden faydalanmıştır. Kendi çalışmalarımda simetrik belirtiler bulunduğu ölçüde, onun nedenlerini araştırmaya çalıştım. | tr_TR |
