The process of formation of industrial society has brought changes about people's production techniques and way of life. The concept of consumption for the needs has evolved into a philosophy of use for pleasures and a more comfortable life. The society has become a form of consumer over time, and in the process, resources that supply the energy needs of consumption have become unable to supply the demands. While technological developments with industrialization make life easier, the development of a faster and more rapid production sector through the use of technology leads to faster consumption of energy resources than renewal processes and they are damaging the environment. The field of structure desing, which is affected directly, is responsible for the consumption up to 70% of the worlds energy demand. The increase in energy consumption in the construction sector has led designers to ecological and sustainable design.
In today's architectural sector, where we cannot ignore the use of technology, the concept of ecological and technological design has become a necessity. This mentality, called eco-tech design, expresses the maximum protection of ecology by means of technological tools. Eco-tech design concept has emerged in response to the technology-centric design concept. The increase in environmental problems began to threaten the future of the planet, and with the designers becoming aware, they began to seek a design concept that would replace the technology based desing. Eco-tech, as an environment-friend mentality, design replaces technology architecture by adopting the relationship between human, nature and structure as a tool. This design concept, which aims to improve the quality of life of future generations, creates a design concept by not only using nature and environmental factors, but also by using technology.
Eco-tech design concept has been adopted on a city scale and there are examples of performingin the world. By using environment, information, communication and geographic information technologies, this design concept, which is based on ensuring user comfort and preservationof nature, aims to create fields that will be included in the ecological cycle that exists in nature. Within the scope of the thesis, it is aimed to create the requirements and objectives of this design concept which does not have a design criteria on the scale of the field. By referencing the and Eco-Design Eco-tech city design mentality, and by evaluating, according to the technology systems that are being used, and selected examples from the world and Turkey were determined, and eco-tech design mentality criterias were formed. In accordance with the determined criterias, the principles, which guide to the interior design and structures that are appropriate to the Eco-Tech mentality, are determined. The Eco-Tech mentality, which affects from the organization of the structure to the shaping of the interior structure, provides energy efficiency in the structure scale. The main purpose of this study is to show the consciousness to designers, architecture field, which has been existed since the causes of environmental problems, that the technology should be used efficiently and ensure to preserve the natural environment. The main purpose of this study is; one of the causes of the enviromental problems in structure design field, ensuring the protection of the natural environment and in addition to this, it is to create the design concept of the future by providing energy efficiency in the structure format by efficient use of technology.
