Karbondioksitin Su ve Organik Çözücü Karışımlarında Elektrokimyasal İndirgenmesi ve Indirgenme Ürünlerinin Kütle Spektroskopisi ve Izotop Oranlı Kütle Spektroskopisi Yöntemleri İle Belirlenmesi
Abstract
In this study, electrochemical reduction behavior of carbon dioxide was examined with using different solvents and electrodes. First, electro-reduction behavior of carbon dioxide was investigated by cyclic voltammetry using three electrodes electrochemical cell with copper, copper (I) oxide, molybdenum and lead electrodes in methanol and formic acid solutions. Then two electrodes electrochemical cell, which has larger area working electrode and lower solution volume, is used to define electro-reduction products of carbon dioxide. The resulting electrolysis product solutions were analyzed with Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) system and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) system. In conclusion, analysis of carbon dioxide electro-reduction product solutions has been shown methanol, formic acid, methyl formate and dimethoxymethane occur in methanol, and formic acid occur in formic acid.
