Türkiye Bombus Altcinsi (Hymenoptera: Apidae, Bombus Latreille, S. Str.) Türleri Üzerinde Sistematik Araştırmalar ve Bunların Tozlaştırıcı Etkileri Üzerine Çalışmalar
Abstract
This thesis examined two species in the subgenus Bombus (s. str.) landmark-based geometric morphometric studies on the use of targeted. Moreover, the effect of bumble bee pollination on greenhouses were also studied. The wing structure of 351 samples distributed in Turkey were analyzed. Geometric morphometrics analysis were performed on 172 males and 179 workers. After digitizing landmarks on right fore wings, 2-dimensional cartesian coordinates were obtained and these were standardized by Procrustes analysis, and deformations were determined by thin-plate spline analysis comparatively. According to the results, it is found that both two species were found to be separate. In the second part of the study, Bombus terrestris was used in a greenhouse located in Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus. Pollinating behaviour of B. terrestris have been observed for 21 days and the study was performed as double replicates.
