Diz Osteoartritinde Dizlik, Esnek ve Rijit Bantlama Kullanımının Etkilerinin Karşılaştırılması
Özet
The aim of this study was to compare immediate effects on functionality, muscular strength, range of motion and pain among elastic taping, rigid taping and brace during walking people who have knee osteoartritis. The subjects were 21 women patients with an age range of 40-65 who were diagnosed as having bilateral knee OA according to the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria and radiological results. In this study subjects with knee OA were applicated elastic, rigid taping and brace. The queue of applications weren?t tended. Individuals were evaluated before and after practice. Individuals were evaluated in terms of range of motion, muscle strength, muscle shortness and gait parameters; also the pain was evaluated with visual analog scale (VAS), the functionality was evaluated with WOMAC. Pain, range of motion, muscle strength, right hamstring, left M.Quadriceps Femoris muscle strength, muscle shortness, WOMAC Index and average values of the maximum-minimum adductor moment of individuals was a statistically significant difference between assesments. It was found that assesments of all 3 application were better than initial assesment. The difference is found that the results of the initial assesments (p<0,05). Walking parameters, the maximum-minimum knee flexion angles of the left-right difference was not statistically significant(p>0,05). The results of this study indicate that reduced pain, increased muscle strength, increased range of motion, reduced muscle shortness, increased functionality, reduced the maximum-minimum adductor moment in all three applications.
