Diyabetik Koroner Arter Hastalarında Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları ve Yaşam Kalitesinin Belirle
Abstract
The research has been carried out to identify the life quality and healthy lifestyle
behaviours in diabetic patients with coronary artery disease. 156 patients hospitalized in
the cardiovascular and cardiological surgical ward of the Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas
Training and Research Hospital in Turkey have constituted the sample of this research.
The research data have been gathered by using “Healthy Lifestyle Behaviours Scale”,
“Short Form 36 (SF-36)” and “Introductory Information Form” which have been
developed by the researcher through literature survey. In addition to the descriptive
statistics, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis Test, Bonferroni Mann Whitney U
Test, Tukey HSD Analysis and Pearson Correlation Coefficient have been used in the
evaluation of research data. At the end of the research, average scores concerning
Healthy Lifestyle Behaviours and Life Quality in diabetic patients with coronary artery
turned out to be low. A positive correlation has generally been marked between the
determinants that affect healthy lifestyle behaviours and life quality. A meaningful
relationship has been identified between healthy lifestyle behaviours and life quality in
patients and their age, gender, education level, marital status, profession, job status,
income level, place of living, people living with, being a smoker or non-smoker, history
of diabetes, history of hyperglisemic and hypoglisemic attacks and receiving regular
check-ups (p<0.05). According to the results obtained from the research, it is suggested
that training and consulting programs be prepared for the improvement of lifestyles in
diabetic patients with coronary artery and the effectiveness of this training be evaluated,
information about the factors affecting life quality in patients and their healthy lifestyle
behaviours be reflected to practical processes.
