Trakeostomili Hastalarda Bariyer Kremin Peristomal Cilt Bütünlüğünün Sürdürülmesine Etkisi
Özet
This quasi experimental study was carried out to determine barrier crem's effect on peristomal skin integrity. Study is conducted on patients hospitalized in ear-nose-throat department of Hacettepe University Hospital. The sample is consisted of 60 patients between 18-65 years old who were tracheostomized. The researcher had given stoma care with the 8 hour intervals, 3 times daily for 7 days, to all two groups (sponge-sponge and barrier crem).Experimental group patients peristomal area pH, moisture and temperature values are were found closer to the normal values. As a result of the research, it is found that using sponge and barrier crem is the most effective dressing for the maintenance of peristomal skin integrity on tracheostomized patients.
