20. Yüzyılın İlk Yarısında Zonguldak: Gündelik Yaşam ve Siyaset

Abstract

In this study, the social, cultural, political and economic changes Zonguldak, that is a city formed after the detection of coal in the surroundings, started to experience with the establishment of Republic have been investigated. The existing Western culture with its impact and the duration of integration by means of republican regime has been discussed in this study examining what the new administration added to the already existing treads in the region with the declaration of the Republic. Although the following changes taken place afterwards are at the foreground, our research sometimes goes back to earlier times in the relevant history so as to point out the features defining the city and their relationship with the past. Taking the declaration of Republic as the starting point, this study has been limited to the beginning of multi-party era.
