Suç ve Değer İlişkisi: Suça Sürüklenmiş Çocuklar Üzerine Bir Araştırma
Özet
In this research, the relation between crime and values was investigated through juvenile delinquency sample. In the context of this relation, first of all values and value theories were examined and after that the theoretical framework of this study was constructed with Schwartz’s Theory of Basic Human Values. Secondly, some crime theories explaining crime and criminal behavior were mentioned briefly. The terms such as child, crime and juvenile delinquency were defined. Field study of this research was conducted in Ankara Çocuk ve Gençlik Kapalı Ceza İnfaz Kurum (Ankara Child and Youth Punishment Execution Institution) and Ankara Çocuk Eğitimevi (Ankara Child Care House). The sample consisted of 170 male juvenile convicts who stayed in both of these places. The results show that there is a meaningful relation between the types of juvenile delinquency and the values these children possess.
