Özet
The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship betweeen autonomous,related, autonomous-related self constructs and eating attitude, and to investigatewhether or not there is a mediator role of body perception on this relationship.The sample of this research composed of 481 participants who were attending toPreparatory School (76) or were studying their first year as freshmen (405). While thetotal number of women included in this research was 314, the total number of men was167. The sample age range was 19.14 (SD = 2.32). The height and weight mean relatedto women was 1.65 cm (SD = .06), 56.32 kg (SD = 7.96) respectively. On the contrary,the height and weight mean related to men was 1.77 cm (SD = .06), 73.83 kg (SD =11.94) respectively. The number of participants who think they are at their ideal weightwas 205 while the number of participants who think they are not at their ideal weightwas 274.
