Yeme Tutumlarının Nesne İlişkileri Kuramı Çerçevesinde İncelenmesi
Özet
The present study aimed at examining dysfunctional eating attitudes within an object relational framework in a non-clinical sample consisting of university students (N = 541). In accordance with this aim, groups with differing levels of dysfunctional attitudes were compared in terms of object relations, reality testing, perceived parenting styles, difficulties in emotion regulation, sense of identity and separation individuation. Results of MANOVA analyses showed that participants with higher dysfunctional eating attitudes had higher scores on object relations, reality testing and on all the dimensions of separation individuation, pointing out to more impairment in these areas. In addition, participants with higher dysfunctional eating attitudes had higher scores on Controlling, Belittling, Overprotective, Conditional and Pessimistic Fearful dimensions of perceived parenting styles for both mothers and fathers.
