Olumsuz Duygusal Yük Taşıyan Uyaranların Eşik Altı ve Eşik Üstü Sunumunun Sigara Kullanıcılarında Nikotin Stroop Testi Performansına Etkileri
Özet
The purpose of this research in which 192 participants took part is to examine the effect of subliminally and supraliminally presented emotional stimuli on Nicotine Stroop Test performance in cigarette smokers. It is also aimed to reveal the cigarette smokers’ craving just after taking NST in terms of which manipulated emotional valence of visual primes and these primes’ presentation levels. In that sense, priming stimuli which has two distinct emotional valence (negative/neutral) were presented both subliminally (20 ms) and supraliminilly (1500 ms) to the participants. The effects of priming stimuli on following target stimuli (smoking related/nonrelated words) evaluated with mean time of true responses acquired by NST for all participants.
