Ev Hanımlarının Fiziksel Aktivite ve Oturma Sürelerinin İncelenmesi
Özet
The aim of this study is to investigate spent the energy, sitting time and number of steps by housewifes residing in Ankara on different physical activity intensity and different physical activity areas according to marital status, age, education level and income level. In the scope of the research; The International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Long Form (IPAQ-LF) was administered to 311 housewives aged 18-65 years. The average number of daily steps was determined by giving accelerometer device to 60 individuals among the survey participants. t-test and One-Way ANOVA were used to analyze the difference between the means of normally distributed data. In order to test the significance of the difference between the means of non normally -distributed data, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis Variance Analysis were applied. The average Moderate-Vigorous Physical Activity value of the housewifes surveyed was determined as 2217.96±1277.95 MET-min/week. The average daily sitting time were found to be 3546.55±672,65 min/week. Statistically significant differences were found between for diffferent intensity of physical activity and different physical activity areas spend energy (MET-min/week) and residence time (min/week) with marital status, education level, age and income. (p<0.05). In line with the values obtained from the results of IPAQ-LF, 2.3% of participants had low, 64.6% had moderate and 33.1% had high activity levels, The average number of daily steps of the participants was found to be 12507.38±2787.34 steps. There was no statistically significant difference between daily average number of steps and marital status, age, income level and education level. As a result, it was found that the physical activity levels and the number of steps of the housewifes residing in Ankara were above the recommended values.
