Cam Seramik Endokronların Biyomekaniksel Özelliklerinin Preklinik ve Klinik Olarak Değerlendirilmesi
Özet
Evaluation of biomechanicalproperties of glass-ceramicendocrownsclinicallyandpre-clinically. Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences, Ph.D. Thesis in Prosthodontics, Ankara, 2012.Inendodonticallytreatedteeth, traditionaltreatmentapproach is post-coreandcrownrestorations. Accordingtoevaluation of clinicalstudies, theretentionlossandfracture of post, androotfracturesarepossiblecomplications. Endocrownrestorationsarerestorationsthatareadhesivelybondedtotoothtissuewithoutrootsupportand has centralretensioncavityincludingpulpchamber. Thepurpose of thisstudy is toevaluatethesuccess of endocrownrestorations in endodonticallytreatedteethwithclinicalandpre-clinicalstudies. Inthisstudy, thebiomechanicalproperties of endocrownrestorationsmadebetweenOctober 2008 andDecember 2010wereevaluatedretrospectively. The data of 24 patientsand 29 endocrownswereevaluatedfor 30 months on average (20-46months). Accordingtoevaluation, twofracturedrestorationsandonedecementedrestorationwereobserved. Thevalues of periodontalpockets, plaqueindex, bleedingindex, amount of gingivalrecession, level of mobilityanddegree of furcationinvolvementweremeasuredbeforetherestorationtreatmentand in final controlappointmentsandthe data werestatisticallyevaluated. Onlythegingivalindexshowedstatisticallysignificantlowervalues (p<0.05). Periapicalradiographsweretaken in sixmonthsintervalswithparalleltechnique in ordertoevaluatecariesandmarginal fit of crowns. Ultimately, cariesandmarginaldiscrepancywere not seen in any of theteethobserved. Inthelastcontrolappointment, patientsatisfactionwasevaluatedusingvisual analog scale (VAS)in terms of estheticsandfunction. Patientsscored 8.8 foresthetics, 9.3 forfunction.
