SUMMARY: Success is not simply based on the possession of necessary skills for performance, it requires the
confidence to use these skills effectively. Self – efficacy refers to a belief in one’s ability to perform specific tasks.
Because of their mentor roles, teachers must feel confident
and competent in the use of information sources and in the use of any tools and technology to find, use and communicate information. In this paper, initial teacher training students’ perceived self efficacy both for information and computer literacy was explored. The correlation between these perceptions and how it changes across the years were also examined.
