these is Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is a disorder characterized by hypersensitive sites called trigger points at one or more muscles and/or connective tissue, leading to pain, muscle spasm, sensitivity, rigor and weakness. Some manipulative methods and physical therapy modalities are used for the treatment of MPS. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of kinesio taping therapy in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome. Indeed, 55 patients having trigger points in the upper trapezius muscle diagnosed as myofascial pain syndrome were included in this randomized, single blind, placebo controlled study. Among these patients two patients stopped treatment because of tape allergy . 2 other patients were excluded from the study due to irregular attendance to treatment and control visits.
