Özel Ortaöğretim Kurumlarında Yöneticilerin İnovasyon Yeterlilikleri İle Örgütsel İmaj Algısı İlişkisi
Özet
The main objective of this study is to determine high schools administrators’ innovation competencies and organizational image perceptions based on the opinions of teachers. The target population of this study was the Private Anatolian High School teachers working in the Çankaya and Gölbaşı districts of Ankara during the 2017 – 2018 academic year and 226 of them were randomly selected for the sample group. In order to determine the teachers’ opinions about the school administrators’ innovation competencies and organizational image perceptions, “School Administrators’ Innovation Competencies Scale” and “Organizational Image Scale” were used respectively as the data collection tools. The study was conducted in accordance with the general survey model. SPSS 20.0 was used in the analysis of the data and relevant tests were conducted to check whether the data qualified the parametric test statistics. Such techniques as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, ratio and percentage value, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression were performed. Finally the significance tests were conducted on the level of .05. The study revealed that the teachers had a high level of perception regarding school administrators’ innovation competencies. As the school administrators’ innovation competency did not show a statistically significant difference with respect to the gender and age variables, it was significantly different on the basis of educational status, professional seniority and school tenure variables. Besides, results revealed that the participants had a high level of organizational image. Additionally, it was found out that the organizational image perception did not show a statistically significant difference concerning gender, age and professional seniority variables whereas it was significantly different with respect to the educational status and school tenure variables. Correlation analyses indicated that the organizational image and school administrators’ innovation competencies had a statistically significant, positive and medium level correlation with each other. Lastly, it was ascertained that school administrators’ innovation competency was a significant predictor of organizational image.
