The main subject of this thesis is non-governmental organizations that focus on migration and the culture of professionalism that develops within these institutions. The study begins with the historical background and conceptual transformation of civil society. Sectorization and the accelerating effect of Turkey's European Union candidacy process in the formation of the professionalization trend in civil society were emphasized. The main problem of the research is how the formation of professionalism in the field of migration takes place in civil society. Since it is a determining area in the emergence of professionalization in civil society, the field of migration was preferred. The obtained data were analyzed from a critical point of view and it was concluded that the sectoralization of civil society is the first axis that reveals the formation of professionalism in the field of migration. Migration-specific problems emerged as the second axis in the formation of professionalism in civil society in the field of migration. It has been concluded that professionalization in the field of migration in civil society takes place through these two axes.
