Hypericum L. Cinsi Origanifolia Stef. Seksiyonunun Taksonomik Revizyonu

Abstract

With this research, members of genus Hypericum L. section Origanifolia Stef. were revised in Turkey. Identification key that based on mixed and similar morphological characters was reviewed, and a new one was created. Descriptions of taxa are expanded, their geographical distribution is updated, flowering-fruiting periods and phytogeographical regions are given.

In the taxonomic evaluations, 10 taxa [Hypericum salsugineum Robson & Hub.-Mor., H. imbricatum Poulter, H. origanifolium Willd., H. trachyphyllum Griseb., H. aviculariifolium Jaub. & Spach var. aviculariifolium, H. aviculariifolium Jaub. & Spach subsp. albiflorum (Hub.-Mor.) Yıld. & Top, H. uniflorum Boiss. & Heldr., H. bourgaei (Boiss.) N. Robson var. bourgaei, H. bourgaei (Boiss.) N. Robson var. leprosum (Boiss.) Yıld. & Top, H. bourgaei (Boiss.) N. Robson var. depilatum (Freyn & Bornm.) Yıld. & Top] belonging to section Origanifolia Stef. were determined. As a result, 1 combination and status [Hypericum aviculariifolium Jaub. & Spach. subsp. albiflorum (Hub.-Mor.) Yıld. &Top], 2 combinations [H. bourgaei (Boiss.) N.Robson var. leprosum (Boiss.) Yıld. & Top, H. bourgaei (Boiss.) N.Robson var. leprosum (Boiss.) Yıld. & Top], 4 synonyms (H. laxiflorum N. Robson, H. ichelense N. Robson, H. cymbiferum Boiss. & Balansa, H. papillare Boiss. & Heldr.) were made.

Morphological, numeric taxonomical, palynological, anatomical, properties and threat categories of 10 taxa belonging to Genus Hypericum L. section Origanifolia Stef. are presented.
