Abstract

Cancer is a one of the most important diseases of human being. Although a lot of progress have been achieved in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, their current levels are not fully satisfying (Greenlee, Hill Harmon et al. 2009). According to the statistics, approximately 12.7 million new cases of cancer was diagnosed worldwide in 2008. During the same period 7.6 million cancer-related deaths were reported. From this total, %56 of new cancer cases and %64 of cancer deaths occured in economically developed countries. Presently classical cancer treatment methods include surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The applications of these modalities have been limited due to their side effects. Recently, hyperthermic techniques of cancer treatment have gained a great importance due to lower unwanted harmful effects.
