Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between Islam and socialism in Turkey with specific reference to two organizations: Labor and Justice Platform and Anticapitalist Muslims. This study is composed of three chapters.In the first chapter, it is discussed similar and dissimilar points between Islam and socialism and attempted to draw a common conceptual framework on the probability of joint action of Islam and socialismIn the second chapter, it is discussed the mutual evolution of Islam and socialism via intellectuals, parties, magazines and associations in Ottoman and Turkey from 19. century.
