Kızıl Sırtlı Örümcekkuşu (Lanıus Collurıo Lınneaus, 1758) Populasyonunun Kızılırmak Deltasındaki Yuva Başarısı ve Teritoryum Özelliklerinin Araştırılması
Abstract
This study was carried out in an 820 ha area in Kızılırmak Delta, in 2011-2013. This study aimed to determine the nest success and territory size of the red-backed shrike (Lanius collurio) breeding in Kızılırmak Delta. Furthermore, nest site selection and some breeding parameters were evaluated. In this study, data from a total of 108 nests which belong to 84 pairs were examined. In the area where field studies were carried out regularly in 2011 and 2012, population density of the red-backed shrike were 2,4 pairs 10 ha and 2,7 pairs 10 ha, respectively. In the study area, territory size which was calculated by minimum convex polygon method was 0,4 0,04 ha (n=25). More than 65% of nests were in the blackberry (Rubus sanctus) bushes. Mostly, the nests were built in the 1,5-3 m long plants at the height of 50-200 cm from the ground. Arrival at breeding site were later in 2011 than 2012 breeding season.
