Quality is vital for those who takes long term care(LTC) in long-term care services. The number of the elders who takes care service is suitably increasing in terms of the demographic change. The rate of individuals with mental disorder, retardation or disease, such as Alzheimer's patients, who are necessarily in need of care, increases in the population. It is obvious the necessity of providing the care of those who needs with special approaches. There is a difficulty in expressing wishes, needs and satisfaction in Alzheimer's disease. Therefore, the quality of care depends on the caregiver’s preference. In this study, it was aimed to define good care based on the perception of caregivers and care services quality standards for good care. In the literature on care services, it has been understood that the provision of quality care services by relatives (informel) or professionals (formel) and sustainable financing and quality are the main elements that constitute the LTC system. In addition, it has been seen that LTC services borrow quality from concepts defining quality in health services (such as individual service, presentation, effectiveness, reliability, coordination of health and care services). In this study, it is emphasized that USB services have an inherent internal dynamics, and therefore, It is necessary to establish quality concepts to develop capacity in maintenance services. It was aimed to learn how good care is perceived to take steps to improve the quality of l Alzheimer's patients’ life. That’s why, qualitative research method is used to learn the perceptions of the participants. In the research, It is used in-depth interviews and purposeful sampling method. Data are collected from the participants' feelings and thoughts about good care perception by using coding method. In conclusion,It is found that the quality concepts and elements as defined the good care for Alzheimer's patients, are respect for the patient values, effectiveness, security, coordination, privacy, caregiver attitude, values, communication, using initiative, taking responsibility, making self-sacrifice, calming, persuading, empathy. Also, caregivers of Alzehimer patients, point out the subjects such as, information technologies and burnout / helplessness issues. In the study, it is seen that the concepts defining quality in health services of Donabedian are perceived differently in the care services. There is a different sense of trust between the institutions and services, the continuity of service between the care service providers and the individual care approach in from the point of these concepts. In the thesis, it has been concluded that USB services should be considered as a system for improving the quality of life of Alzheimer's patients and original concepts / approaches for good care should be taken.
