Özet
This thesis titled “Visual Comments Through Social Media Icon”, oversees the media concept from the past to today, especially art-artist relation during the historical process. It looks into how the new media art was born and how social media was used in arts. This thesis also explains the art’s effect on people, position in social events and how it works as a therapy. Works in this thesis look into how the social events would look without the identical differences between the people who were involved. Technically, photo manipulations especially abstractions on people and locations and reduction to two dimensions have been used. Manipulations of event photos have been used with several printing technics like woodcut and serigraph to change the marks of them in people’s minds. Works have been supported by a new media area such as GIFs to stress the developing technology and its effects in the arts.
