Abstract

Güler Cenik Melahat. Presentation Problems of Historic Works in the Museums; Graphic Design Applications for Gordion Museum Artistic, Proficiency Thesis, Ankara, 2018. Numerous different civilizations existed on the Anatolian soil, leaving archeological artifacts behind them. These works of art are exhibited in archaeological museums of history and archeology, before today's day and today with archaeological researches and studies. Gordion and its environs will be exhibited at the Gordion Museum. This will be done by informing and informing local and foreign tourists with the printed and published information. The solution ways prepared with graphic designs by taking advantage of today's technology have been discussed as a subject in the thesis study. In the first part of the work, the museum was prepared with theoretical and visual information by using the history of the museum, museum types, and museum today, important archaeological museum examples from the world, various sources. In the second part of his work on proficiency in art; exhibit in museums and publicity, research on the history of museum exhibition in Turkey is to be transferred to the examples. Due to the use of technological innovations in today's museum, studies related to the changes in display and promotion have been transferred with pictorial and literary methods. In the third part of the research, exhibition and promotion problems were discussed in the museums. Museum buildings, archaeological museum architecture, museum hiding, exhibition conditions and placement arrangements after the scientific research has taken place. Graphic designs used in museum buildings are presented with samples; examples of visual design that have been successfully advertised in the world are explained. ix The fourth section of the thesis works on the Gordion Museum, which is the main objective of the research. In addition, examples of graphic presentation of the Gordion Museum located near Polatlı Yassihöyük today. In the fifth chapter, which constitutes the last part of this study; Alternative graphic works prepared for Ankara / Polatlı / Gordion Museum are included. It started with the logo work which made the institutional identity of Gordion Museum and ended with billboard, banner, catalog, brochure, book, booklet, separator and packaging.
