Giselle Balesinin Klasik ve Modern Koreografilerinin Karşılaştırılması
Abstract
In general, an art movement owes its existence to the responses to the previous period/art movement. Thus, there is no period in art history, which could express itself sufficiently on its own. This interaction presents us a guide to generate an artistic chain and to interpret the works of art. The artistically incontestable form of Classical Period, makes it a focal point in analyzing an art work. Besides, a work of art is always in interaction with the other art works of the same period. Hence, in the first chapter, as part of Art Movements, occurence, development and characteristics of classicism are dwelled on. Afterwards, the Romantic Period-during which Giselle ballet was created-and its features are discussed.
