Abstract

In this study, the species belonging to the subfamily Apioninae (Coleoptera: Brentidae) of Ankara province were examined. The thesis material consists of specimens collected during field studies and specimens in the collection. Within the scope of the study, 15 species were identified. The male genitalia of 11 of these species with male individuals and the spermatheca structures of 13 of these species with female individuals were drawn and described. The male genital organ structures of Protapion nigritarse, Protapion ononidis, Protapion varipes were drawn and described for the first time in this study. The spermatheca structure of Apion frumentarium, Alocentron curvirostre, Ceratapion gibbirostre, Ceratapion onopordi, Ompalapion laevigatum, Diplapion detritum, Malvapion malvae, Protapion apricans, Protapion nigritarse, Protapion ononidis, Protapion trifolii, Protapion varipes, Rhopalapion longirostre, Stenopterapion tenue, Ischnopterapion loti species were also drawn and described for the first time in this study. Among these species, Ceratapion gibbirostre, Ompalapion laevigatum, Protapion nigritarse, Ischnopterapion loti, Apion frumentarium, Alocentron curvirostre and Ceratapion gibbirostre were reported from Central Anatolia for the first time, Ceratapion onopordi, Ompalapion laevigatum, Diplapion detrium, Malvapion malvae, Protapion nigritarse, Protapion ononidis, Stenopterapion tenue and Ischnopterapion loti were reported from Ankara for the first time. As a result of the investigations, the species were evaluated taxonomically and systematically, and the genus and species keys were rearranged by considering the species in Türkiye. Türkiye and Palearctic distributions of the species are given.
