The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of family training programme and permanence of this effect developed for families whose children between 7-18 years old with Cerebral Palsy on family functions, resilience and hopelessness level. The research was carried out in the Ministry Of National Education Iller Bank Special Education Business Practices Central School in Ankara between May 2017 and June 2018. In this research, pretest-posttest control grouped experimental design was used. The study group of the research is consisted of 28 parents in which there are 14 parents for control group and 14 for treatment group. Parents who are in treatment group are applied once a week to "Cerebral Palsy Family Training Programme" which was developed in scope of research lasted eight consecutive week and those who are in control group were not applied to any programme. Parents composing treatment and control group were evaluated with data obtained from ‘Family Assessment Device’ for the family function, ‘Family Resilience Scale’ for resilience levels and ‘Beck Hopelessness Scale’ for hopelessness level. Pretest and posttest was conducted on both groups with forenamed scales and permenance test run was conducted only on treatment group after four weeks of last test runs. Following the scope of analyses; Mann-Whitney U Test between groups, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test within groups were used. All analyses were performed with 95% confidence interval and value p<0.05 was accepted as statistically significant. It is concluded that Cerebral Palsy Family Training Programme which was applied to treatment group have a positive effect on the family functions, resilience and hopelessness levels of those parents and this effect was precipitated permanent based on the findings of the data analysed.
