Hacettepe University, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Gynecology and Obstetrics Nursing Program, Doctorate Thesis, Ankara, 2019. This research was conducted as a mixed method in which quantitative randomized controlled pretest-posttest controlled group design and qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach was used. The aim of this study to determine the effect of web based and simulation based training program on the knowledge and awareness levels of the university students and their emotional responses to the misogynistic attitudes. The sample of the study consisted of 68 students enrolled in first year and first semester at Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences in 2018-2019 Academic Year Fall Semester. The numbers, percentages, mean, standart deviation values, t test in independent and dependent groups, analysis of variance for repeated measures were used in the analysis of quantitative data and qualitative data were assessed by content analysis method using with the induction approach. After the training program, it was found that knowledge and awareness scores and PANAS scores of the students in the intervention group were significantly higher than the control group (p <0.05). In the focus group interviews, students expressed that they were very pleased with the misogyny training program, that the program provided permanent learning by creating knowledge and awareness about the concept and encouraged them to react against misogynistic attitudes and stated that the program could reach more people.
