Girişimcilerde Kişilik Özellikleri ve Çalışma Ahlakı İlişkisine Yönelik Bir Çalışma
Özet
This study aims to investigate the relationship between the entrepreneurial personality characteristics and the work ethics scores of entrepreneurs. For this aim, this study is completed in four parts. First of which provides information about entrepreneurship and some related concepts. The concepts of entrepreneur, entrepreneurship, types of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial activities, factors affecting this activities, personal characteristics of an entrepreneur and the importance of entrepreneurship have been discussed.
The second part of the study includes information about moral, ethics and related issues. Business ethics, work ethics and the importance of them, theories on ethics and entrepreneurial work ethics have been discussed in detail within the scope of this part.
The first two parts of the research consists of literature review and the resources that support the information on literature.
The third part explains the aim, the method and the findings of the research. The hypotheses of the study have been addressed and the research model has been presented as well as the aim of the research, information about the sample, measurement tools and the analysis techniques. The data collected from the entrepreneurs who supported by TUBITAK’s support programme whom can be considered as a good sample of Turkish entrepreneurs. While the total number of the entrepreneurs funded under support programme form the universe, the one hundred thirtynine entrepreneurs who have answered the survey properly form the sample. The data obtained is analyzed in the SPSS 23.0 programme.
The third part is completed by showing findings of this research. The study results can be summarized that the demographical features do not effect the work ethics of entrepreneurs. On the other hand, the characteristics of the entrepreneurs partially positively relates with the work ethics and that there is a correlation between the locus of control and innovativeness dimensions of the characteristics of entrepreneurs with behaving ethical.
The study then concludes with the result part. In this part, the results are evaluated, limitations and contributions of the study and future suggestions are given.
