ABSTRACT

This thesis is based on the presumption that eeriness and unconsciousness are consanguineous. These two with this consanguineal kinship are in a state that they are linked to each other with an indiscernible bond. The eerie ambiences that admonishes a person, admonishes what is embedded within the subconscious feelings and pain as well.

The thesis is pertaining to the works how these consanguineous kinsmen are infiltrating into the field of art, especially into the paintings.

General atmosphere of this thesis is consisted of the approach to paintings in terms of ricocheting of the suppressed as well as the uncensored expression of the ideas, impressions that is thought to have emerged from a subconscious field.

At this point, the effect of a common image on differenet artists in the process of thesis as discussed in detail, the discr of common emotions in the paintings of Pieter De Hooch in addition, emotion partnerships presented in the paintings are also included.
