6493 Sayılı Kanunda Öngörülen İdari Para Cezaları

Abstract

With the Law No. 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions, regulations regarding system operators and payment service providers operating in the field of payments have been introduced. These regulations are important because the payments area is already very active and continues to develop. The multiplicity of transactions in the sector necessitated the evaluation of the actions of the organizations operating in this field in terms of ensuring financial stability, and due to this indirect effect on the country's economy, it was envisaged to impose administrative fines on some of the organizations in the Law No. 6493. In this study, the areas regulated in the Law No. 6493 and the basic concepts related to them, the need for the regulation of these areas, the administrative fines in general, the reasons for the need for the administrative fines stipulated in the Law No. 6493, the application method that foresees the administrative fine and its deficiencies will be tried to be discussed.
