Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’ndeki Liselerde Görev Yapan Öğretmenlerin Okul Akademik İyimserliğine İlişkin Görüşleri

This study conducted to determine the level of academic optimism of teachers'. The research was carried out with the screening model which is one of the quantitative research methods. The research population consist of teachers working in high schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2021. On the other hand, the research consists of teachers selected from this universe by random selection sampling method. In this study, the cross-sectional scanning model was applied. The data collected by using the School Academic Optimism Scale. Statistical analyzes of the data collected with the scales used in the research were made with the SPSS 20.0 package program; t-test, percentage, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), frequency were used in the analysis of the data. First, the academic optimism levels of the teachers were examined through descriptive statistics such as mean, mode, median, and standard deviation related to School Academic Optimism. Secondly, whether teachers' school academic optimism levels differ significantly in terms of demographic variables such as age, gender, educational status, district of school, marital status, number of students the school has and type of school were analysed withT test (Independent Samples T test) and ANOVA (One Way Analyse of Variance). In One-Way Analysis of Variance, when a significant difference was observed between the groups, the differences were examined through Post-Hoc tests. According to the findings, there was no significant difference between the levels of teachers' School Academic Optimism and demographic variables.
