The concept of movement in Plastic Arts has been dealt with in different forms in different periods. This concept, which manifests itself especially in the areas of painting, sculpture and architecture, can be evaluated under two general headings. In the first one, there is no real movement. Figures or objects are static, but as they move, they seem frozen for a moment. In the second one, which we started to see intensively after 1960, there is a physical movement. Such works often require engineering knowledge or working with an engineer. It has taken time for the term "kinetic", first used in the "Realistic Declaration" by Naum GABO and Antoine Pevsner in 1920, to become widespread in the Fine Arts. The term "dynamic" has long been used for the illusion of movement in the fields of painting and sculpture. Kinetic Art, which came into art terminology in the 1950s, continues to be applied today to encompass many different styles and techniques. It's aimed with this study to demonstrate how and for what purpose the movement element is used in ceramics from the beginning to the present, the problems of the existence of ceramics in kinetic art and the limitations/possibilities of the material in practice Kinetic Art, optical art, optical toys, visual illusion and visual imperfection will be investigated in relation to the concept of motion in ceramics and their relations with each other will be discussed. In addition, it will be tried to bring a different perspective on movement in ceramic art with personal applications to be made using today's technology.
