Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to analyze the cultural structure formed by directing the concept of liminality to the problematical areas that emerged after the crime of forced disappearances. It has been mentioned that it is not sufficient to use the terms 'limbo' or 'suspension' which was used by the Saturday People who were subjected to enforced disappearances as a translation of liminality. It has been stated that liminal works can be detached from the ritual context, that it have dimensions, and have areas that are not only destructive but also creative. The cognitive dimension of the liminal state of the people whose relatives were lost has been resolved, however the fact that the bodies are not found and they don't have a gravestone are not sufficient to solve the emotional and social aspects; that impunity opens a liminal space and at this point, the liminal experience shapes the essence of both the graves of the disappeared and Galatasaray Square; the families as those who wait for the return of their loved ones and as passengers who are searching for them in a relation of companionship which they bring out as communitas; have mended the social fabric which was ripped into pieces by this crime; that they are currently in a resistance state that gives the hope of a new era with their democratic demands that threatens the past, in which the crime was committed and its reflections on today; that the new generations that joins the Saturday People creates a space of pure possibility, that they created a pattern of rebirth in the unbreakable communication they established with the lost and therefore they do not allow the individuals, who is a part of their own substance, to disappear forever, are included with the data obtained from the ground.
