In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between high school students' use of rational, intuitive, undecided and dependent decision strategies and their decisions which expresses their decision situations in analytical, behavioral, directive and conceptual situations. In this study, two scales were prepared to measure decision strategies and decision situations, and the mean scores obtained from the scales were compared according to gender, class and socioeconomic level. The group of the study consisted of a total of 427 students (216 girls 211 boys) studying in high schools. The study group was constituted through convenience sampling. Decision Strategies Scale and Decision Situations Scale which prepared by the researcher were used as data collection tools in the study. Factor loadings, item difficulty and discrimination coefficients, reliability coefficients and F values were calculated. No difference was found between the mean scores of those who used different decision making strategies in different decision situations. It was observed that in Decision Situations Scale girls got higher scores than boys in the behavioral dimension and 10th and 12th grades got higher scores than the other grade levels in four decision situations. In addition, it was found that in the Decision Strategies Scale the rational strategy scores of the boys and the dependent and undecided strategy scores of the girls and the intuitive scores of the 9th and 12th grades were higher and those with medium socioeconomic level behave more intuitively.
