The protagonist of this work is the flâneuse. Since it was originally interpreted by the inverse of the concept of the flâneur in terms of gender, in order to reach her, the figure of flâneur that corresponds to the combination of the concepts urbanite, idler and traveler was scrutinized. With the presence of women in the public sphere, the flâneur, an invisible observer among the crowd, will no longer be the sole owner of the gaze. As a matter of fact, the existence of the flaneuse makes sense -especially in the context of this work- with the gaze. The reason is that the presence of the flâneuse discussed in the literature based on the gaze. However, the main reason is that the subject of the work is the flâneuse, also the photographer. In the thesis, the focus is the experiences of the photographer, also the flâneuse, in the modern-day city. Autoethnographic method is applied in the work. Therefore, the subject that mentioned here is me, and what I aim to convey through photographs is my own experience as a flâneuse. In conclusion, the thesis has a personal perspective in a certain sense.
