Abstract

municipality in Iran (Safot, 2008, s.105). Because of being the first municipality it has been of great importance for Iran but until now a comprehensive promotion hasn t been Founded in 1889 (1268 Solar Hijri) Tabriz Municipality is known as the first performed. In this thesis due to the promotion purposes billboards were designed for Tabriz Municipality. While designing billboards, also a new logo was designed for Tabriz Municipality.In the first section of the thesis, the definition of Tabriz city, its history and importance was referred to and as well as important architectural pieces, information is given about its valuable properties. Because Tabriz city has been always known by its "the city of the firsts" slogan (Ardakani, 2009, s.227) in this section, Tabriz features that can be considered as the first and also its valuable constructions are discussed.
