Geç Kuvaterner İklim Değişimlerinin Quercus Robur L.'Un (Saplı Meşe) Coğrafi Dağılımına Etkisi
Özet
Late Quaternary has undergone several climate changes that caused many consequtiveglacial and interglacial periods. The last interglacial period and the last glacial maximumwere particularly important in shaping the biota of thepresent time. The glacial periods hasmostly took effect in the Northern Hemisphere where temperate species contracted theirgeographic distributions in which were restricted to glacial refugia with suitable climaticconditions. The expansion and contraction of species‟ distribution can be predict by usingEcological Niche Modelling (ENM) approach. In this study, potential geographicdistributions of Quercus robur L. (pedunculate oak), a temperate plant species, werepredicted by using ecological niche modelling for the last interglacial period (130.000 -116.000 years ago), the last glacial maximum (21.000 years ago), and mid-Holocene(6.000 years ago).
