Ultra Viyole (Uv-B)Stresinin Bazı Sarıçam (Pinus Sylvestris L.) Soylarına Etkilerinin Araştırılması
Abstract
Amount of UV-B radiation reaching to earth s surface is increase day by day because of depletion of ozone layer. The increase in the amount UV-B radiation affects negatively growth and development of plant.UV-B radiation impairs the structural integrity by targeting nucleic acids, hormones, membranes. It changes the direction of important metabolic processes such as photosynthesis in the cell. Thus, yield and product quality is also decreased. Tolerance or susceptibility of plants to UV-B stress exhibit differences between plant species.Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) is one of the important pine species forest-forming and shows a wide distribution in the Northern Hemisphere.
